Rules

By playing on Rust.camp you accept these rules. The short version is below; the full rules are numbered, quote the number when you report someone.

Last updated: 6 Nov 2026

The short version

  1. Cheats, scripts, macros and exploits get you banned.
  2. No teaming with strangers in solo rounds.
  3. No boosting, no win trading, no ban evasion with alts.
  4. Trash talk is fine. Insults, hate and spam are not.
  5. Report with F7 or message an admin in game (Cobra or ThrowItDwn).
Full rules

1Fair play

  1. No cheats, scripts or macros: no aimbot, no ESP or wallhack, no no-recoil script, no mouse or keyboard macros, no hardware aids such as Cronus or XIM.
  2. Rust's Easy Anti-Cheat always runs, and an EAC ban applies here too. We also ban ourselves when stats, demos or spectating make it clear, with or without an EAC hit.
  3. No bugs or graphics tricks that show what should stay hidden (gamma or shader exploits, clipping into walls).
  4. Evading a ban with another account gets every account banned for good.

2Conduct

  1. Trash talk is fine, personal insults are not. No hate: nothing racist, sexist, homophobic or transphobic, no threats.
  2. No spam in chat or voice: no music, no soundboard, no ads for other servers or shops.
  3. Name and avatar: nothing offensive or illegal, no links, no posing as an admin or another player.
  4. Don't post other people's personal data (doxxing) and don't harass streamers (stream sniping to grief someone).

3Game rules

  1. Don't exploit arenas, walls or instances: no glitching out of the arena, under the map or into walls, no spots where you can't be hit, no hopping between instances.
  2. No teaming in solo rounds (FFA): no deals with strangers, no sparing each other, no calling out positions for others.
  3. No boosting or win trading: no arranged wins, no losing on purpose, no farming friends or alts for Elo.
  4. No leaving or feeding on purpose to manipulate rounds. A disconnect counts as leaving, in 1vs1 as a loss.
  5. Alts are allowed, but not for boosting, ban evasion or blocking opponents on the ladder.

4Teams

  1. You team up like in normal Rust, max team size is 3. Teams play Cargo Retake, Oil Rig Retake and Deathmatch (team queue); 1vs1 is always solo.
  2. The team leader joins for everyone and the team deploys together with a shared vehicle. Friendly fire is off.
  3. No alliances between teams and no switching teams mid-round to dodge opponents.

5Reporting

  1. In game: press F7 and report the player (Rust report). Those reports reach us.
  2. Directly: message an admin in game, Cobra or ThrowItDwn. Give the name, mode, rough time and what happened; clips help.
  3. Fake or mass reports meant to hurt someone get punished too.

6Penalties

Usually step by step: warning, kick, temporary ban, permanent ban. Serious cases skip steps.

Examples of penalties
BreakTypical result
Cheats, hardware aids, ban evasionpermanent ban (all accounts)
Macros, no-recoil scripts30 days, permanent the second time
Exploits (walls, map, instances)warning, then 1–7 days
Teaming in solo roundskick, then 1 day, then 7 days
Boosting, win tradingElo correction or ladder reset + 7 days
Insults, spammute or kick, then 1–7 days
Hate, threats, doxxing7 days to permanent

Admins decide case by case. If you think a penalty was wrong, talk to an admin calmly and bring evidence.

7Your data

  1. Every round is stored for the stats: SteamID, name, rounds, Elo, kills, hits, weapons and similar game values. We don't store chat content, only the number of messages.
  2. Your stats are public on the stats page. You can set them to private in your profile; then others only see your name, admins still see everything for fair-play checks.
  3. The Steam login only gives us your public SteamID.

8Changes
