Rules
By playing on Rust.camp you accept these rules. Every rule has a number (e.g. 3.2) – quote it when you report a player.
Last updated: 6 Nov 2026
1Fair play
- No cheats, no scripts, no macros: no aimbot, no ESP/wallhack, no no-recoil script, no mouse or keyboard macros, no hardware aids (e.g. Cronus, XIM).
- Rust's Easy Anti-Cheat always runs. An EAC ban applies here too. On top of that we ban ourselves – even without an EAC hit, when stats, demos or spectating are clear.
- No bugs or graphics tricks that reveal what should stay hidden (gamma/shader exploits, clipping into walls).
- Evading a ban with another account is forbidden and gets every account banned permanently.
2Conduct
- Trash talk is fine, personal insults are not. No hate: nothing racist, sexist, homo- or transphobic, no threats.
- No spam in chat and voice: no music, no soundboard, no advertising for other servers or shops.
- Name and avatar: nothing offensive, nothing illegal, no links, no impersonating admins or other players.
- Do not post other people's personal data (doxxing) and do not harass streamers (stream sniping to grief someone).
3Game rules
- Do not exploit arenas, walls or instances: no glitching out of the arena, under the map or into walls, no spots where you cannot be hit, no hopping between instances.
- No teaming in solo rounds (FFA): no deals with strangers, no sparing each other, no calling out positions for others.
- No boosting and no win trading: no arranged wins, no losing on purpose, no farming friends or alt accounts for Elo.
- No leaving or feeding on purpose to manipulate rounds. A disconnect counts as leaving, in 1vs1 as a loss.
- Alt accounts are allowed, but not for boosting, ban evasion or blocking opponents on the ladder.
4Teams
- You team up like in normal Rust; the maximum team size is 3. Teams play in Cargo Retake, Oil Rig Retake and Deathmatch (team queue). 1vs1 is always solo.
- The team leader joins for everyone; the team is deployed together (team deploy, shared vehicle). Friendly fire is off.
- No alliances between teams and no switching teams mid-round to dodge opponents.
5Reporting
- In game: press F7 and report the player (Rust report). Those reports reach us.
- Directly: message an admin in game – Cobra or ThrowItDwn. Give the name, mode, rough time and what happened; clips help.
- Fake or mass reports to hurt someone are punished themselves.
6Consequences
Usually in steps: warning → kick → temporary ban → permanent ban. Serious breaks skip steps.
| Break | Typical result |
|---|---|
| Cheats, hardware aids, ban evasion | permanent ban (all accounts) |
| Macros, no-recoil scripts | 30 days, permanent the second time |
| Exploits (walls, map, instances) | warning, then 1–7 days |
| Teaming in solo rounds | kick, then 1 day, then 7 days |
| Boosting, win trading | Elo correction or ladder reset + 7 days |
| Insults, spam | mute or kick, then 1–7 days |
| Hate, threats, doxxing | 7 days to permanent |
Admins decide case by case. If you think a penalty was wrong, talk to an admin – calmly and with evidence.
7Your data
- Every round is stored for the stats: SteamID, name, rounds, Elo, kills, hits, weapons and similar game values. Chat content is not stored, only the number of messages.
- Your stats are public on the stats page. In your own profile you can switch them to private; others then only see your name, admins still see everything (for fair-play checks).
- The Steam login only gives us your public SteamID.
8Changes
We may change these rules at any time; the version on this page applies. The date at the top shows the current version.
