Rust.camp · How it works

Four steps to your first Elo.

  1. Connect

Press F1, paste client.connect, Enter. Or search for Rust.camp in the server browser. 1000 slots, no queue.

  2. Hub island

You stand on the island alone with a full T3 kit and unlimited ammo. Warm up at the range, sort your loadout. The hub menu opens on its own, /hub brings it back.

  3. Pick a mode

Cargo, Oil Rig, Deathmatch or 1vs1 – solo or with your Rust team. The round starts right away, LEAVE takes you back to the island any time.

  4. Elo

After every round you see right away how much Elo you gained or lost. Ten placement rounds, then your crest shows your rank – in game with /rank and on the stats page.

Rust.camp · Ranked

From Bronze to Legend.

Every round counts. You start at 1000 Elo in Silver, play ten placement rounds and then climb on a separate ladder for each of the four modes. Every tier has three divisions (III, II, I), Legend is the top.

10

Placement rounds

Your Elo moves fast in the first ten rounds (K 60), calmer after that (K 24). Your crest shows up once placement is done.

×0.5

1vs1 factor

A duel is decided by a single fight – so a 1vs1 round moves half as much Elo as a round with more players.

2+

Every round counts

Every round with at least two players is rated, in every queue. Rounds you play alone and late joins stay unrated.

¼

Boost protection

Farming the same opponents does not pay: from the fourth round against the same line-up within 24 hours you get only a quarter of the Elo.

Rust.camp · Features

Built for aim, not for farm.

Your fight, your world

Every round, match and duel runs in its own instance. Parallel fights neither see nor hear each other – no third party, no voice from the arena next door.

Solo or team, always rated

One queue per mode, and every round counts. With your mates you play through the normal Rust team in Cargo, Oil Rig and Deathmatch. Friendly fire is off.

Fair opponents

1vs1 and Deathmatch pair players by Elo – without making you wait when it is quiet. The kill feed and the death card show your opponent’s Elo.

Shooting range

Spray and the recoil HUD instantly shows how tight it was and where you pull. With moving bots, a bot that peeks like a real player, and your best scores per weapon.

Every bullet counted

The stats page knows accuracy, headshots, hit zones, damage, assists and kill distance – per mode, per weapon and per round. Sign in through Steam and you see your profile.

Loadout layouts

Sort your inventory the way you like it once, save it, done. Every kit in every arena comes laid out exactly like that.

Rust.camp · Rules & FAQ

Short and clear.

What are the rules?

No cheats, no scripts, no exploits (e.g. clipping into rooms). No teaming with strangers in solo rounds. Be decent in chat and voice. Violations get you banned.

Does every round really count?

Yes. There is no unrated queue any more: every round in every mode goes into your Elo as soon as at least two players are in it – solo and team alike. The only rounds that stay unrated are the ones you play alone and the ones you joined late.

What is 1vs1?

Two players, one random arena out of 50 terrain arenas, the same kit for both, one life. Pairing goes by Elo. Whoever gets the kill wins – and both are paired again right away. Three minutes without a kill and the one who dealt more damage wins. Getting knocked down or leaving counts as a loss. Because a single fight decides it, a 1vs1 round moves half as much Elo (K ×0.5).

Why max. 25 players in Cargo and Oil Rig?

A Cargo Ship or an Oil Rig gets crowded fast. With 25 players per round the fight stays readable. The server has 1000 slots: when a round is full you wait in the mode room and move up in the break between two rounds – whole teams stay together.

Can I play alone?

Yes. Every mode starts from one player: Cargo and Oil Rig against the NPCs, in Deathmatch and 1vs1 you stand in the arena on your own and the timer waits for the first opponent. Whoever joins later drops straight in.

Can I play with friends?

Yes. Form a team like in Rust, the leader joins for everyone and you land in the round together – in Cargo, Oil Rig and Deathmatch. Friendly fire is off, and the team round counts for your Elo just the same. 1vs1 is always one against one.

Why can’t I see the others?

Because they are in another fight. Every round, match and duel is its own instance; on the island and in the waiting rooms everyone is on their own. You see and hear your team, everything else stays separate.

Is there an Attack Heli?

Now and then. In Cargo and Oil Rig your vehicle comes with the kit roll: boat, minicopter, scrap heli or – with a small chance – an attack heli with rockets on board. The longer an Oil Rig round runs, the more helis. Deathmatch and 1vs1 are on foot.

How do I get back to the island?

LEAVE in the room HUD or /leave in chat. Disconnecting counts as leave (in 1vs1 as a loss). /hub opens the menu any time.

When is the wipe?

Never. There is nothing to wipe. Rust forces every server to update once a month (patch day, first Thursday) – that is a few hours of downtime, not a wipe. Only the ranked season ends at some point, and then the next one starts.

What does the stats page store?

Your SteamID, your name and what happens in your rounds: kills, hits, hit zones, damage, Elo. No IPs, no chat contents. The Steam sign-in only reads your public SteamID.
